The detail map on a location group page displays the key information for a location group and allows you to edit it. This section is located on the Details tab of each location group.
This is important for consistent display, reporting and correct references in linked processes.
Overview – What does this section show?
The Detailed Map contains:
Name of the location group
Type of the location group (Building or Project)
Address of the location group with country-dependent fields
Changes to this map will take effect immediately after saving.

Actions
Users can:
change the name of the location group
change the type between Building and Project
edit the address
Save:
Via the Save button in the map header
Name/type and address can be saved separately
Not possible:
edit multiple groups at once from this map
make changes without editing rights

Why can't I edit the data?
You do not have edit permissions for location groups.
Why do I get an error that the name already exists?
Another location group uses the same name.
Why does the address form look different?
The form will adapt based on the country selected.
Can I change the type of a location group?
Yes, via the Building/Project tab selector.
What happens if I change the name?
The change is immediately saved and propagated to associated references.
Why is my zip code being reformatted?
Spaces are automatically removed for consistent storage.
Can I leave address fields blank?
No, street name, house number, postal code, city and country are required.
