The Location Map shows the physical location of a service location on an interactive map. This component is located on the Location Details page under the Details tab.
The map is used to:
quickly verify where a location is geographically located
visually check the registered address
to provide context for location-based activities and services
This component supports operational controls and reduces errors due to incorrectly entered addresses.
Overview – What does this section show?
The Location Map shows:
an interactive map, centered on the location's address
a red house marker at the address
a pop-up with the formatted address when clicking the marker
a style switcher at the top right to switch between map views
The map only uses the address stored with the location:
street name and house number
zip code
city
country
Actions
Users can:
move the map by dragging
zoom in and out with mouse or controls
switch between map styles
click the marker to view the address
Not possible from this screen:
edit address details
move marker
manually adjust coordinates
Address changes are made via the location data and become visible after refreshing.
Map renewal
The map will be refreshed when:
the address of the location is changed
the page is reloading
the location data is retrieved again
The map does not automatically refresh after an address change.

Rights & Access
To view the Location Map you need:
access as an organizational user
Users without this access:
don't see the map
do not get an error message with details
There is no difference in functionality between the platform and the customer portal, only based on rights.
Why don't I see a map on the location details page?
You may not have organization user rights or the address may be incomplete.
Why does the map show an incorrect location?
The geocoding service may have matched a similar address. Please check the address.
Can I change the address via the map?
No, address changes are done via the location data.
Does the card work without an internet connection?
No, both geocoding and map tiles require internet access.
Which map service is being used?
Azure Maps is used for geocoding and map rendering.
