The details card contains all the basic information about your customers and consists of two main sections: customer details and billing address. Here you can manage all the essential information needed for invoicing and communication.
Customer data
Customer number
Unique customer identification, automatically assigned
💡Once a customer is created, Zero Friction will automatically assign them a customer number. This automatic customer number is generated based on the number series configured for the 'customer' in the configuration menu: General - Number Series.
Type
Switch between "Person" and "Organization"
The available fields change depending on your choice
People
When you select "Person", the following fields are available:
Title/Title of Salutation: Select the appropriate title (Mr., Mrs., Dr., etc.)
Initials: Customer's initials
First Name: The customer's first name
Last Name: The customer's last name
Date of Birth: Select the date of birth using the date picker
Social Security Number (SSIN)
SSIN Country: Choose between Belgium and the Netherlands
SSIN Number: Enter the social security number
For Belgium: Belgian SSIN format
For the Netherlands: Dutch SSIN format
💡 The SSIN field only becomes active after you select a country
Organizations
When you select "Organization," the following fields are available:
Company Name: Name of the organization or company
Company Number: Registration number of the organization
VAT number: VAT registration number for tax purposes
Billing address
The billing address will automatically adjust based on the selected country:
Standard Address Fields
Country: Select the country from the list
Street Name: Name of the street
House number: House number of the building
House Number Addition: Additional information (A, B, etc.)
Postcode: Postcode in the correct format for the country
City: Name of the city

Edit Start
Click on the gray field you want to edit
The fields become editable
Enter Data
Enter the required information
Please note the validation rules per field
Required fields are marked
Save Changes
Click the blue "Save" button
The changes will be implemented permanently
Cancel Changes
Click "Cancel" to discard changes
The original data is being restored
Automatic Validation
The system automatically checks:
Required fields: All required information must be filled in
Format checks: Postcodes, VAT numbers and SSIN numbers are validated
Country-specific rules: Address formats are checked per country
Error messages
If there are validation errors:
Fields with errors are marked
A clear error message appears
You cannot save until all errors have been resolved
Change Customer Type
⚠️ Note: When you change the customer type from "Person" to "Organization" or vice versa:
Specific fields for the previous type disappear
Data of the previous type will be lost
Make sure you record all important information before you change
SSIN Information
💡 Tip: Social Security Identification Numbers (SSINs) are only available for customers from Belgium and the Netherlands. These fields are not visible for customers from other countries.
Billing address
The billing address is crucial because:
This address is used for sending invoices
It is used in invoice generation
It must be correct and complete for successful delivery
Common Problems:
Unable to save
Please ensure all required fields are completed
Check if the zip code is in the correct format
Make sure VAT numbers and SSIN numbers are valid
Address fields not appearing
Please check if you have selected a country first
Some fields are only visible to specific countries
SSIN field is disabled
First select an SSIN country (Belgium or the Netherlands)
The field will then automatically become available
