Location details page – Details

The Location Details card displays key information about a location within Zero Friction. This section is located on the first tab of the location details page.

This information forms the basis for billing, contract management, service provision, and integrations. Accurate and up-to-date location data is essential for the platform to function properly.


Location data


Overview – What does this show?

The Details Map shows the following information groups:

  • Address details of the location

  • External id (optional)

  • Owner and Manager (optional)

  • Linked product


Layout

The Detail card is logically divided into separate sections. Each section can be edited and saved independently.


Address

Shows the full physical address of the location:

  • Street name

  • House number

  • Addition (if applicable)

  • Postal code

  • Place

  • Country

The address format automatically adjusts based on the selected country.

Customers are free to customize the address and can change text.

External identification

  • Free input field for your own reference code

  • Optional

  • Used for connections with external systems

Owner and manager

  • Owner: customer who is the legal owner of the property

  • Manager: customer responsible for management

Both fields:

  • are optional,

  • can be set independently of each other,

  • are stored together.

Product

  • Shows the product associated with the location

  • Used for:

    • invoicing,

    • service and configuration logic

  • Product can be added or removed

Actions

Users can perform the following actions depending on their permissions:

  • Edit address

  • Add or change external identification

  • Link or remove owner and/or administrator

  • Link or unlink product

Validations and limitations

  • Each section has its own save button

  • Changes are not automatically saved

  • Saving one section has no effect on unsaved changes in other sections


Data display

  • When opening a location, the last saved data is loaded from the database.

  • After saving, the map will be immediately updated and returned to read mode.

Address logic

  • Postal codes are automatically validated and formatted by country:

    • Belgium: 9000

    • Netherlands: 1011 AB

    • France: 75011

    • United Kingdom: NW7 0AA

  • House numbers can contain additions (e.g. 123A, 123-125).

Owner & Manager

  • Search by customer name or account number

  • Selections can be cleared

  • Are always saved together as one change

Product

  • Product selection via dropdown

  • Removal is possible

  • Changes may have a direct impact on billing and services

Why can't I edit certain fields?
You do not have the required rights for that field.

Can I adjust multiple parts at once?
Yes, but each section must be saved separately.

What happens if I don't save?
Any unsaved changes will be lost.

Why does the address look different than expected?
The size adapts based on the selected country.

Can I delete an owner or manager?
Yes, via the clear option in the selection field.

What is the purpose of external id?
For your own references or connections to external systems.

How do I know if my change has been saved?
After saving, the updated value will appear in read mode.

Can I see who made the last change?
Yes, via the Activity card on the same page.


  • Location: Physical address where services such as electricity, gas or water are supplied

  • Owner: Customer who is the legal owner of the property

  • Administrator: Customer responsible for the day-to-day management

  • Product: Configuration that determines billing and services

  • External Id: Free reference code for external systems

  • Service Location: Alternative term for location within Zero Friction
