Location details page - Meters

Updated over a week ago

The Meter Map on the Location Details page shows all meters linked to a specific location. This section is located on the Details tab of a location.

This component is important for operational follow-up, data quality and monitoring of measuring infrastructure.

Overview – What does this section show?

The Meter Map displays a table of all meters linked to the current location. Only meters that are historically or currently connected to this location are displayed.

Information is shown per meter about:

  • identification and type

  • status in relation to this location

  • installation period

  • recency of received measurement data

The visibility of this map depends on user permissions and whether meters are linked to the location.

Layout

General table structure

Each row in the table represents one meter that is (or was) associated with the location.

Columns

Serial number

  • Unique identification of the meter

  • Clickable to the meter detail page

  • Below the serial number the meter model is shown (Brand – Name), with a link to the model configuration

Meter type

  • Zero Friction supports 4 different meter types, each with a different purpose.

An individual meter is the most commonly used meter type. It's a single meter for a single address, storing the measurements for that individual address.

An aggregating meter is a meter type that stores the measurements of an entire building/project of a location group.

A common meter is a type of meter that stores the measurements of the common areas of a building, such as the hallway or stairs.

An external meter is a meter that has been installed by an external party outside the organization and from which individual meters have been derived.

Status

  • Visually indicated by color:

    • Installed (green)

Behaviors & Logic

Filtering by location

The system only shows meters linked to the current location. Meters currently installed at a different location are displayed here as Removed.

Status determination

The status is determined based on the status history of the meter in relation to this location.

Determination of the period

  • The period shows the installation period of the meter at this location

  • If a meter has been installed and removed multiple times, the most recent installation period will be shown

Last received measurement data

  • The date is determined based on the most recent data across all channels of the meter

  • If no channel has received data, “Never” is displayed
