Meter detail page - Details

The Meter Details card displays key information for a specific meter within Zero Friction. Located on the Meter Details page, this section provides an overview of identification data, status, installation information, and related data.

This section is used to quickly understand how a meter is configured, where it's installed, and whether measurement data is available. This is essential for accurate consumption recording, billing, and operational monitoring.


Meter data

  • Serial number

    • Unique meter identification (e.g., MTR-2045)

    • Set at creation

    • Cannot be changed

  • Meter Tag

    • Optional, user-defined label

    • Used for recognition and organization

Meter tag is the only field that is directly editable in this section


Status, Brand & Model

  • Status

    • Current status of the meter

    • Displayed as a colored badge

  • Brand & Model

    • Manufacturer and model from the meter model catalog

    • Informative and not editable


Installation information

  • Address

    • Installation address of the meter

    • Clickable and opens the location details page

  • Customers

    • Active customers at the linked service location

    • Clickable and leads to customer detail pages


Measurement data

  • Last Update

    • Last date measurement data was received

    • Display: Date/Time or Never

  • Measurements Until

    • Last date for which measurements exist

    • Display: Date or None


Meter type

  • Meter Type

    • Indicates the type of meter, such as:

      • Individual

      • Aggregating

      • Communal

      • Root

      • Prepayment


Linked information

Meters are connected to:

  • Location groups

    • Via the installation address

    • Used for billing and consumption grouping

  • Service locations

    • Active when meter is installed

    • Contains contract and customer information

  • Parent Meter

    • Submeters can be connected to a main meter

    • Shown in the subtitle of the page


Behaviors & Logic

  • Status changes

    • Are recorded in the Status History

    • Always based on effective data

  • Installation

    • Connects the meter to a location

    • Activates data streams and consumption

  • Uninstallation

    • Ends active links

    • Historical data remains available

  • Measurement data

    • New data automatically updates Last Update and Measurements Until

What is the difference between Serial Number and Meter Tag?
The serial number is unique and unchangeable; the Meter Tag is a free label that you can customize.

Can I change the serial number?
No, this is not possible.

Why is my meter set to Removed?
The meter has been uninstalled. Check the Status History for details.

What does Measurements Until mean?
The last date for which measurement data is available.

Can I change the address in Details?
No, this is done through the Install action.

Why don't I see any customers?
The meter is not associated with a service location or there are no active customers.

What is a Prepayment meter?
A meter that requires pre-payment and has additional restrictions.

Why can't I change the meter type?
Prepayment meters and meters with active consumption have limitations.
