Location Details Page – Comments & Activity

The Comments and Activity cards together provide a complete picture of the interactions and changes surrounding a customer.

  • Comments are manual notes that users add.

  • Activity automatically shows recorded system events.

Together they provide context, follow-up, and an audit trail for every customer.


Comments

Comments are internal notes that users manually add to a location record.


Use them for:

  • Internal follow-up or transfer between team members

  • Documentation of telephone conversations or appointments

  • Notes on specific location actions

  • Important notes for future reference

Comments are not visible to residents.


View comments

  1. Open the location details page

  2. Find the map comments

  3. The most recent comments are at the top

  4. Each comment shows:

    • Author's name and avatar

    • Timestamp (e.g., November 6, 2025, 2:30 PM)

    • The text of the comment

Empty fields will show the message “No comments added yet.”


Add comment

  1. Click in the input field below the map Comments

  2. Type your text

  3. Click Send or press Enter

  4. The comment appears immediately at the top of the list

Note: If you don't see the input field, you may not have write permissions. Contact your system administrator.

Possible for users with delete rights.


Layout and behavior

  • Only plain text is supported (no formatting, links, or attachments)

  • No limit on length or number of characters

  • Timestamps use your system's time zone

  • Long comments may require scrolling within the map


All comments remain internal and are not shared with customers.


Activity


The Activities Overview shows:

  • a chronological list of system activities

  • who performed the action

  • when the action took place

  • an icon indicating the type of activity

  • a title and subtitle with context about the change

Both lists are sorted from newest to oldest by default.


Automatic creation
Activities are automatically created for:

  • creation of a location

  • change of address or external identification

  • change of product or management relationships

  • signing a contract with this location

  • adding or removing the location from a contract

  • other system events that impact the location

Display

  • sorted from new to old

  • pagination for large numbers

  • readable titles and subtitles based on event data

Technical

  • activities are read-only

  • exclusively system-driven

  • linked to location and organization

Important: The activity shows all events chronologically, with the newest at the top. pagination is used to load older events and

There is no filter by event type available in the current view.

If necessary, use Ctrl+F / Cmd+F to search within the page.

Why don't I see any comments or activity?
You may not have the required permissions. Please contact your administrator.

Can I edit a comment?
No, comments cannot be edited.

Why can't I delete a comment?
You do not have delete permissions.

Why don't I see any activity for my change?
Not every action generates an activity or processing may be delayed.

Can I add an activity myself?
No, activities are created automatically by the system.

How far back does the activity history go?
All activities remain available and will load via pagination.

Why do the icons differ per activity?
The icon shows the entity type that caused the activity.

What do the title and subtitle of an activity mean?
The title describes the action, the subtitle provides additional context about what exactly was changed.

    Manual note added by a user for collaboration or documentation.

  • Activity
    Automatically generated log entry of a system event.

  • Activity overview
    Chronological list of all activities for a location.
