Status History provides a complete overview of all status changes of a meter throughout its life cycle.
Here you can see when a meter was created, installed, removed, and possibly reinstalled. This section is important for transparency, historical accuracy, and audit purposes, for example, in case of questions about consumption, billing, or location changes.

Period

Consists of:
Start date (status entry date)
End Date (or Ongoing when the status is still active)
The rows are displayed chronologically, with the most recent status at the bottom.
Actions
The Status History section itself contains no editable actions.
Status changes occur only through other actions on the meter detail page, such as:
Install Meter – changes status to Installed
Uninstall Meter – changes status to Removed
Each action automatically results in a new status period in the status history.
Effective dates
Status changes can be:
Direct – with the current date
Backdated – for historical corrections
Future – for planned installations
The chosen start date determines the start of the new status period.
Multiple installations
A meter can be installed and removed multiple times. Each installation:
Creates a new Installed period
May have a different address or service location
Problem | Solution |
Backdated status change | The system automatically rearranges the periods |
Multiple changes on the same date | Periods are automatically split |
Status change via import | Registered as manual changes |
Holes in history | This is allowed and visible |
No status history visible | Meter is new or just imported |
Unexpected status change | Check the Activity tab |
Status change not visible | Refresh the page and check storage |
Dates appear incorrect | Check time zone and effective date |
Can I edit or delete a status history line?
No. All status lines are permanent to ensure a full audit trail.
Why is my meter set to Requested?
This is the initial status when creating a meter.
Can a meter have multiple Installed periods?
Yes, for example when reinstalling at a different location.
What happens with a dated installation?
The status history is adjusted without overlapping periods.
How do I see who made a change?
Via the Activity tab on the meter details page.
Why is the end date set to “Ongoing”?
The status is currently active and has no end date yet.
Can I export the status history?
No, not separately. Only the current status is included in exports.
What is the difference between deleting and deleting?
Deleting changes the status to Removed; the meter and history will remain.
Effective Date – Date a status change takes effect
Status period – Period in which a meter has one status
Timesliced entity – Data model that stores changes in periods
Audit Trail – Immutable historical record of changes
Service Location – Location where a meter is installed
Property Group – Grouping of locations
Ongoing status – Active status without an end date
