The Dashboard

When you start Zero Friction you will see the Dashboard:

Here you will quickly find an overview of the latest meter readings received, invoices to be followed up and payments to be checked, as well as important information about contracts and addresses (under master data).

The vertical navigation bar

On the left side you will see the vertical navigation bar from which you can quickly navigate to the different parts of the program:

At the very top of the vertical navigation bar you will see the Zero Friction logo:

You can always click here to navigate back to the Dashboard .

The other icons represent the main entities in the program. When you move the mouse over an icon, the name of the component automatically appears.

At the bottom you have the ' Add' button and the wheels icon that will take you to the Control Panel .

The 'Add' button

This button at the bottom of the bar allows you to quickly perform a number of actions, without having to navigate to the relevant detail page first. It is, in a way, a faster way to start common actions.

The Add button and its possible actions:

As you can see, you can choose to add a customer, delivery address, location group, or meter. As well as to do a move-in for a resident or to create an extra invoice for a resident.

The Control Panel

If you click on the wheel icon at the bottom, you will arrive at the configuration page where you can determine all kinds of system parameters regarding delivered products, direct debit, cost distribution, meters, payment file formats and the general standard communication preference.

The configuration screen:

Tabs

In each detail screen of a selected item you will see tabs that you can click on to view a specific subcategory of the item.

Here is an example of the Contracts section with the different clickable tabs:

Quick filters

In each screen you always have the possibility to use the quickfilters . These allow you to sort the displayed data. You can display them in ascending or descending order, as well as unordered. So you always have 3 possible sorting options.

To do this, click on the arrows for the quick filters.

The selected order can be seen by the arrows:

Disordered

Ascending

Descending

Filter button and search bar

At the top of each screen you also have the option to filter the items by a number of set filters. To do this, click on the filter button at the top right.

Depending on the screen you are in (e.g. contracts, customers...) the filter button will suggest custom filters to allow you to filter the items.

Here is an example of the possible quick filters from the Invoices menu window:

Next to the filter button is also the search bar which allows you to quickly search by name or numerical values to find an item. This can be useful if you just want to search by a customer name or by contract number or invoice number for example. You can use any search term, consisting of numerical values and/or text values.

A good tip if you want to quickly search for a street and don't want to type everything in full every time is to type the first few letters followed by a semicolon character and then the house number .

For example, you want to search for Nieuwe Jonkerstraat 8. Instead of writing this out in full, you can also just type a few letters in the search field: Jonk;8.

You can see that the search result has found the entire street with the correct house number.
