Description

Customer

This is the party that has contracted the Zero Friction SAAS Platform (either as SAAS (self-use) or as BPO (the processes are executed for you). The customer has a number of “end customers”. The customer has access to the Zero Friction platform.

BPO

Business process outsourcing (BPO) is the process of outsourcing a specific aspect of your business operations to an external vendor or service provider. A BPO call center is a team of outsourced agents who handle inbound and outbound customer calls for other companies. BPO call centers handle more than just calls. Zero Friction and its partners offer a range of BPO services.

Consumption

Calculated consumption based on meter readings or estimates for a specific period.

The energy transition is a path towards transforming the global energy sector from fossil fuels to carbon-free energy in the second half of this century.

Electronic invoice presentation

Invoice presentation refers to a set of instructions that directs a third party (e.g., a customer) to pay the recipient a specific amount of money. Simply put, invoice presentation occurs when a service provider invoices a customer and demands payment. This can be done on paper or electronically.

Electronic profile presentation

Providing insight into energy consumption to the end customer

End customer

This party is the "customer's" customer and typically uses the customer portal for functions such as electronic invoice presentation and electronic profile presentation.

Data Processing Agreement

A data processing agreement, or DPA, is an agreement between a data controller (such as a company) and a data processor (such as a third-party service provider). It governs all processing of personal data for business purposes. A DPA is also called a GDPR data processing agreement.

Meter

Meters are devices used to measure energy consumption at a service location. Consumption is read using a "meter reading." The Zero Friction platform integrates with various metering platforms.

Process library

A business process library that defines how the features of the SAAS solutions can be used in SAAS or SAAS + BPO configurations.

Location group

Collection of service locations within Zero Friction

Releases

A release is the distribution of the final or latest version of a software application. Because ZF is a SAAS solution, you benefit from the most up-to-date version of the software.

Roadmap

A roadmap is a strategic plan that defines a goal or desired outcome and outlines the key steps or milestones needed to achieve it. It provides customers with insight into upcoming product features.

SAAS

Software as a Service (SaaS) is a software licensing and delivery model where software is licensed on a subscription basis and centrally hosted. For ZF, this is on Microsoft Azure.

Single Sign On

Software as a Service (SaaS) is a software licensing and delivery model where software is licensed and centrally hosted on a subscription basis. ZF can authenticate based on a single user ID.

Zero Friction Platform

A SAAS platform accessible via a web browser to handle the meter-to-cash process.
