Zero Friction is expanding the Consumption Cost Overview (CCO) with new insights that help you and your end customer better understand consumption and costs.
New features:
View actual and/or estimated consumption
Compare current consumption with that of previous periods
Switch effortlessly between costs (€) and units (kWh)
Benchmark consumption with similar consumers via consumption groups
The rollout will be phased, giving you plenty of time to set up consumption groups and make decisions about what you want to show to customers.
🔍 New insights into VKO
1. New “Consumption” tab (now available)
Shows actual and estimated consumption per contract. Estimated consumption is calculated based on historical consumption or a defined consumption group.
2. Comparison with previous periods (now available)
Compare up to three different periods side by side to quickly detect trends and fluctuations.
3. Switch between units and costs (now available)
Switch between units (kWh, GJ…) and costs (€) in one click, split into fixed and variable components.
4. Benchmark with similar users (coming soon)
Compare a customer's consumption with that of other customers from similar consumption groups.
🧩 Consumption groups – the key to smart comparisons
Did you know that Zero Friction uses consumption groups as a basis for benchmarking?
You can choose between:
Standard groups with averages defined by us
Own groups based on parameters such as surface area, type of home, orientation or family size
➡️ Set up via: Configuration > Meters > Consumption groups
➡️ Assign via: Location groups or per contract. Later this summer, you will also be able to change consumption groups per contract.
📌 Tip: Start thinking now about how you want to logically group your customers.
🧑💻 For the Customer Portal
You choose whether to make the new graphs visible to your end customer:
Configuration > Customer Portal > Preferences
Recommended to activate only upon full release in late summer
Customers then see the same graph and also see an advance payment advice
