New Features

šŸš€ Faster import of meter readings
šŸš€ Enhanced validation
šŸš€ Dedicated import overview

Accurate measurement of consumption is the foundation of the meter-to-cash process. That’s why we’ve introduced several key improvements to help you import meter data faster and detect any issues quickly and easily.

Faster import of meter readings

Thanks to the improved meter import, readings will now be imported twice as fast.

Enhanced validation

After importing or uploading meter readings, the meter data file goes through a series of validation checks.

We’ve added a number of new statuses that clearly show where things may go wrong in the process:

  1. Uploading…: Zero Friction is currently reading the file.

  2. Upload failed: This status appears when the file format is unreadable for Zero Friction.

  3. Invalid format: If the file is readable but contains issues like unreadable date formats, it will be marked as ā€œInvalid formatā€. If there are no issues, Zero Friction moves to the next stage.

  4. Validating…: Zero Friction is now validating the data in the file.

  5. Validation failed: This status appears, for example, when a meter is unavailable or a channel is unreachable. It doesn’t mean all readings are incorrect. From here, you can re-upload or choose to process the file.

  6. Ready to process: If automatic processing is turned off, you’ll see this status. It means you can now start processing the readings.

  7. Processing…: Zero Friction is currently processing the data, such as handling an invalid meter.

  8. Processed with issues: The data has been processed, but Zero Friction detected some issues. You can choose to ignore them by selecting ā€œMark as processed.ā€

  9. Processed: The file was processed without any issues.

Dedicated import overview

To keep everything organized, we’ve created a new overview. You can now find meter file imports under the specific ā€œImportā€ tab within the Meters entity.

This overview now includes a handy search function, filters, and views for the different statuses. Any issues are clearly displayed in the ā€œIssuesā€ tab.
